چکیده
We present a new mean dynamic ocean topography product based on the improved geoid model, derived in Optimal Geoid for Modelling Ocean Circulation (OGMOC) project supported by European Space Agency. This model is Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) Field Steady-State Explorer (GOCE) satellite missions combined with newer DTU15GRA altimetric surface gravity it was optimized to eliminate artificial features common other models such as striations orange skin. Subsequently, has been augmented using EIGEN-6C4 coefficients harmonic degree 2160. The geodetic DTU17MDT this DTU15MSS sea surface, quasi-gaussian filter best fit velocities of oceanographic drifting buoys. improves resolution important details circulation. Finally, drifter data were integrated into refine its spatial resolution. The Gravity and Ocean Circulation Experiment GOCE satellite mission measure the Earth gravity field with unprecedented accuracy leading to substantial improvements in the modelling of the ocean circulation and transport. In this study of the performance of GOCE, a newer gravity model have been combined with the DTU10MSS mean sea surface model to construct a global mean dynamic topography model ...
متن کاملA new filter for the Mean Dynamic Topography of the ocean derived directly from satellite observations
The Mean Dynamic Topography (MDT) of the ocean provides valuable information about the ocean’s surface currents. Therefore the MDT is computed from satellite observations and then assimilated into ocean models in order to improve the ocean circulation estimates. However, the computation of the MDT from satellite observations of sea surface height and the Earth’s gravity field is not straightfor...
متن کاملGravity acceleration at the sea surface derived from satellite altimetry data using harmonic splines
Gravity acceleration data have grand pursuit for marine applications. Due to environmental effects, marine gravity observations always hold a high noise level. In this paper, we propose an approach to produce marine gravity data using satellite altimetry, high-resolution geopotential models and harmonic splines. On the one hand, harmonic spline functions have great capability for local gravity ...
متن کاملMean Surface Circulation of the Global Ocean Inferred from Satellite Altimeter and Drifter Data
Sea level anomaly from satellite altimetry and in situ near-surface drifter velocities, combined within a simplified equation of horizontal momentum, reveal peculiar dynamical balances in the strongest known currents of the World Ocean. In the Gulf Stream, this study demonstrates the importance of centrifugal force due to the curvature of the streamlines. After filtering out Ekman currents (usi...
متن کاملa study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market
the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.
